Police blotter: Shenandoah County

The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:

March 4: A breaking and entering was reported. Someone entered an outbuilding and removed a lock and two kayaks on Spitz Lane, Mount Jackson.

March 5: Joshua Alan Mark Kirby, of Fort Valley, was arrested on charges of distribution of heroin, forgery, uttering, obtaining money by false pretenses and larceny of bank checks. Court dates: March 9 in Shenandoah County General District Court,  and 9 a.m. Thursday in Shenandoah County Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court.

March 5: A breaking and entering was reported. Someone entered a residence and caused damage on Dawn Drive, Basye.

March 5: A larceny was reported. Someone removed a chainsaw on North Grove Avenue, Edinburg.

March 7: Mark Wayne Fadeley, of Maurertown, was arrested on charges of being a fugitive from justice in Maryland. Court date is 9 a.m. March 23 in Shenandoah County General District Court.

March 9: A destruction of property was reported. Someone damaged a vehicle on Orkney Grade, Mount Jackson.

March 9: A breaking and entering was reported. Someone entered a residence causing damage and removed clothing and a jewelry box on Breckenridge Court, Strasburg.

March 9: Tyrone David Gheen II, of Maurertown, was arrested on charges of appearing drunk in public, obstruction of justice and possession of controlled paraphernalia. Court date is 9 a.m. April 20 in Shenandoah County General District Court.

March 11: Zane Colter Burdette, of Marlinton, West Virginia, was arrested on charges of appearing drunk in public. Court date is 2 p.m. April 20 in Shenandoah County General District Court.

March 11: Charles Robert Calhoun, of Marlinton, West Virginia, was arrested on charges of appearing drunk in public and carrying a concealed weapon. Court date is 2 p.m. April 20 in Shenandoah County General District Court.

March 12: Ian Douglas Taggett, of Maurertown, was charged with possession of marijuana. Court date is 9 a.m. April 20 in Shenandoah County General District Court.
