STRASBURG -- The bullet that ripped through her son's skull also broke Janeen Johannsen's heart and spirit.
"The trick is I don't sleep; I'm driven out of my bed," Johannsen says of how she's managed to get up each day since Jan. 6 -- the day Jody Lynn Bradley, of 189 Wakemans Grove Road, Edinburg, shot and killed her son, 16-year-old Brendon Manning Barker.

STRASBURG -- Not only is Jody Lynn Bradley a murderer, he's also a hypocrite. Those are the charges his daughter and his ex-wife leveled against Bradley, convicted last week by a Shenandoah County Circuit Court jury of second-degree murder. They are outraged the jury recommended he only serve nine years in prison for shooting to death Brendon Manning Barker, 16, plus three years on a gun charge.

WOODSTOCK -- Two members of the Shenandoah County Circuit Court jury that recommended on Thursday that Jody Lynn Bradley serve nine years in prison for murdering a 16-year-old boy said Friday that his sentence was too light. One of the jurors claimed another "blackmailed" the rest of the panel into a decision they didn't want to make.
