Trilogy at Lake Frederick in Frederick County has been named one of 50 of the best master-planned communities in the United States in the July/August issue of Where To Retire’s biennial list.
The list focused on communities rather than locales and featured first-person testimonials by current residents. Trilogy and Colonial Heritage in Williamsburg were the only communities in Virginia to be recognized.
Only communities with established neighborhoods with enough acreage to build at least a year’s supply of homes were chosen. The communities are in 18 states, and home prices begin at $80,000 and go upward of $3 million, with 38 of those named starting at less than $300,000.
