Ridge Runner Farms

Exhibit

Shenandoah Valley artist Ren Crawford will exhibit her abstract watermedia paintings, titled Spirit Dance, during August at Middle Street Gallery, located above the Before & After Café at 31 Main St., Sperryville.

Partlow Insurance

Partlow Insurance Agency in Winchester has been honored by Erie Insurance with the Giving Network Agency of the Year Award, which recognizes agencies demonstrating extraordinary community involvement efforts.

The agency earned a charitable donation of $2,500, which will be given to Our Health in Winchester.

The agency sponsors community-wide events, like the Apple Blossom Sports Breakfast, Old Town Winchester Movies on the Mall, Rockin’ Independence Eve, Celtic Festival and Addicted to Hope Rally, which helps to educate the public about opioid addiction.

In addition, Jerry Partlow, who founded the agency in 2001 with his son Michael has been active on numerous boards, councils and committees in the community ranging from city council to the airport authority. Michael Partlow volunteers as a football coach for Handley High School, as well as football and baseball little league teams. He is also the president of the Winchester-Frederick County Youth Football League.

The agency, along with staff members, also support many community organizations including the Girl Scouts, Lord Fairfax Area Food Bank, Salvation Army, Winchester Education Foundation and Winchester Little Theatre.

Five of the agency’s 30 employees work full time with nonprofit organizations.
