Police: Alcohol a factor in crash
WINCHESTER — A driver was transported to Winchester Medical Center as a result of a single-vehicle crash involving alcohol Sunday night, according to state police.
The crash occured at 11:55 p.m. on Va. 7 near Oak Hill Grocery, according to state police spokesman Sgt. F.L. “Les” Tyler. The vehicle, a 2005 Mazda four-door sedan was traveling eastbound, Tyler said, but he did not have further details or the identity of the driver.
Tyler said alcohol was involved in the crash and charges have been filed. State police trooper J.T. Yokiel investigated the crash.
