School principals move to other schools
The Shenandoah County School Board approved the administrative transfer of Strasburg High School Principal Morgan Saeler to principal at Peter Muhlenberg Middle School, effective July 1.
According to a Shenandoah County Public Schools news release, the position became vacant with the board’s acceptance of Peter Muhlenberg Principal Mandy Roller’s resignation at an April 12 meeting. Roller has accepted a position in another school division.
Saeler said he’s excited to return to Peter Muhlenberg Middle School.
Saeler began his Shenandoah County Public Schools career 16 years ago as a seventh grade social studies teacher at Peter Muhlenberg Middle School teaching for six years. Ten years ago he became a school administrator at the secondary level.
“There is something particularly appealing about the opportunity to return to the school that helped shaped my philosophies on learning,” he said. “While the specific tasks of being a principal at each level may be different, the overall focus on working collaboratively with faculty, staff and the community to provide an impactful learning environment for students is the same.”
The search for a new principal at Strasburg High School will be open and input in the process will be sought from staff, students and parents.
According to a Warren County Public Schools approved personnel list from an April 5 School Board meeting, Roller will become Principal of Hilda J. Barbour Elementary School effective July 3.
