WOODSTOCK – United Bank presented a $3,000 check to a third grade classroom on Wednesday morning.

United Bank’s Sales and Service Representative Debbie Good and Branch Manager Jason Fream presented the check to Fay Wymer-Hollar’s students  at W.W. Robinson Elementary School.

United Bank does a program every April called “Teach the Children to Save,” where each branch goes to at least two groups of children and talks to them about how to save money. United Bank drew a name from all the groups visited and picked one to receive the $3,000 donation.

Principal Jennifer Proctor said the school is very excited to have received the donation and plans to use the money to support student achievement in the classroom.

“We are moving toward purchasing more Chromebooks for classrooms,” she added. “This will greatly help in that initiative.”
