Front Royal man charged with sexual assault of 10-year-old girl

Justice Morgan Henry

Front Royal police say they have arrested town resident Justice Morgan Henry, 37,  on felony charges pertaining to an alleged assault of a 10-year-old female.

Police issued the following statement outlining the details of the assault.

“The juvenile disclosed that Henry had walked her from (the Shenandoah Motel) to a wooded area near town, where he sexually assaulted her. She then advised Henry walked her to a second location and sexually assaulted her a second time,” the release said, adding that Henry, when questioned later by detectives, “corroborated the statements made by the victim.”

The list of felony charges against Henry include object sexual penetration, aggravated sexual battery, forcible sodomy and taking indecent liberties with a child.

Henry has a record of prior sexual offenses. He was convicted of statutory sexual battery on April 20, 2000, in Mississippi. In September of this year, Henry was fined for failing to register as a sex offender in Virginia and released on recognizance.

The suspect also has outstanding fines with the Commonwealth of Virginia for shoplifting and obtaining money under false pretenses.

Henry is currently being held without bond at the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail. Front Royal police ask anyone with information regarding the case to contact detective Zachary King at 636-2208 or zking@frontroyalva.com.
