A pedestrian was hit by a car on Holliday Street in Strasburg. Capt. Wayne Sager said that an ambulance took the pedestrian to Winchester Medical Center and that she is in stable condition. Sager said that police have identified the vehicle that hit the pedestrian but have not finished their investigation and have not determined whether or not they will make any charges.
Chris Rust said he had pulled over to make a phone call when the crash happened. A red car ran into an elderly woman, he said. Rust said the woman pulled up onto the hood of the car before falling back to the ground. The car did not stop until after running over the woman. "That freaked me out, man," Rust said. "I'm almost 50, and that freaked me out."
