WINCHESTER – Meet Taz, a 1-year-old Boston Terrier who can’t sit still.

He’s named for the Looney Tunes character of the same name because of his wild energy. But unlike the cartoon character who throws temper tantrums, Taz the dog just can’t contain his excitement.

“(He’s) very affectionate,” said Stacy Smith, assistant office manager. “They say he’s not a very good watchdog because he’s so friendly.”

Taz is good with other dogs and loves car rides. He’s hearing-impaired, but not completely deaf. He’s leash-trained, crate-trained, housebroken and up-to-date on his shots.

His favorite toys are balls.

For more information about adopting Taz or another pet, the Winchester SPCA can be reached by calling (540) 662-8616 or by visiting WinchesterSPCA.org.

The Rockaplenty Adoption and Education Center is located at 111 Featherbed Lane in Winchester.
