Mount Jackson man indicted on child sex charges
A Mount Jackson man has been indicted on several sex crime-related charges involving a victim under the age of 13.
On Wednesday, a grand jury returned a true bill of indictment finding that there was enough evidence to support prosecuting Levi Ryan, 20, on 10 child sex charges.
The indictments point to at least eight separate incidents between 2014 and 2017 in which Ryan allegedly engaged in sex acts with a child under the age of 13, according to court documents.
Ryan did not appear at the grand jury hearing, according to court documents. He has since been arrested and is being held at the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail without bond.
He was booked into jail late Friday night, according to the jail’s website.
The commonwealth’s attorney has not responded to a request for comment.
