Vandals hit some Strasburg properties

The Strasburg Police Department has become aware of a string of houses between the 100 and 200 blocks of West Queen Street that were hit by graffiti.

Lt. Jason Ford, of the Strasburg Police Department, said that a number of houses in those blocks had spray paint on their fences or signs outside their houses. Ford said that the incidents appeared to be connected but that the graffiti did not appear to target any particular people.

“It would seem to be a younger group of people, juveniles,” Ford said. “They found some spray kits; it was a random act, but they affected several residents on the Queen Street area.”

The graffiti appeared between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday morning, Ford said.

Ford added that people who were affected by the vandalism should call 540-465-5230 so investigators could file a police report and follow up on the incident.
