Drug detection dog’s death still a mystery

The cause of death for Rex, the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office’s drug detection dog, remains undetermined after the agency Tuesday released the results of an autopsy conducted by the state veterinarian.

WINCHESTER — Tommy, a black domestic longhair cat who has resided at the Winchester SPCA for nearly six months, is an affectionate animal that will gladly curl up in your lap, says Lyndie Scott, kennel supervisor at the new Rockaplenty Adoption and Education Center.

EDINBURG – Like any good dog, 1-year-old hound-mix Murphy will sit on command. He will offer his paw for a treat. He does well with children and other dogs, seems to tolerate cats and would be a good fit for practically any type of household, according to Cheryl Wakeman, an animal caretaker at Shenandoah County Animal Shelter.

Foxy is high energy, but sweet
