NVDaily update: Train crossing work stops drivers in their tracks
Work on the railroad crossing on Shenandoah Shores Road north of Happy Creek Road is causing delays for residents trying to get in and out of their subdivision today.
The scheduled work on the crossing hit a snag today, according to Front Royal Town Manager Steven Burke
“The Norfolk & Southern Corporation has notified the Town that they have experienced significant problems this morning with the most complicated portion of the repair work as well as experienced a hydraulic failure on one piece of equipment,” Burke stated in a news release. “They anticipate opening Shenandoah Shores Road at 12:30 p.m. and plan to reopen at 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. They hope to complete the repair work this evening.”
