In December, Wakefield Country Day School senior Marc Cugnon, of Flint Hill, was named a semifinalist in the Coca-Cola Scholars Program.
Cugnon now has moved to the next level in the scholarship competition and has been named a Coca-Cola Scholar. As such, he is one of 250 such finalists in a national competition that started with over 110,000 candidates and was first narrowed to 2,000 semifinalists.
Cugnon will attend the Coca-Cola Scholars Weekend in Atlanta in April and will interview for one of 50 National Scholar awards of $20,000. The remaining 200 Scholars will receive Regional Scholar awards valued at $10,000.
