Discovery Museum builds on construction effort
The Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum has announced its intention to use the current construction on the Loudoun Street Pedestrian Mall in Winchester as an educational experience for curious visitors. Museum staff have developed an activity packet which a number of the walking mall locations will provide throughout the construction project's duration. In the activity packets, children can learn about simple machines such as levers, wedges and pulley systems, and then see them in use on the large construction machines.
