Quota of Winchester celebrates its 70th year as a club this year. Assistance to the hearing impaired has been one of Quota's priorities, and the Winchester club recently took the lead by coordinating with other local service organizations to provide hearing aids to a needy 5 year-old.
Annually, the local club provides Easter baskets to sick and needy children, hats and gloves to local school children, blankets to local families, and Christmas stockings and gifts to home health shut-ins. The club also serves meals at Jubilee Kitchen and to the homeless through WATTS.
Over the past several years, the club has donated over $25,000 to local charities such as the Salvation Army, Blue Ridge Hospice, Youth Development Center, and has provided $10,000 in college scholarships to local students.
