S.U. Spiritual Life group needs volunteers for Feb. 23

The Mission Possible group at Shenandoah University is asking for at least 12 more volunteers for its community service project at the Apple Blossom Mall in Winchester on Saturday.

Once a month, the Office of Spiritual Life at S.U. leads a group of student volunteers to help the the community for a few hours on a Saturday morning. Volunteers are needed to work one of three shifts at the annual Valley Health Community Wellness Festival at the Apple Blossom Mall. The event is from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Mission Possible volunteers will serve as greeters at one of three shifts: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., noon to 3 p.m. or 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Shenandoah students studying pharmacy, nursing and other health fields are participating in the wellness festival, too, sharing their skills and knowledge with the Winchester community.

This Mission Possible is an opportunity for anyone who enjoys helping in the community as well as for those who need to fulfill community service hours. For more information or to sign up, contact spirituallife@su.edu, or visit Spiritual Life at Shenandoah.
