Area not-for-profits in need of donations

The Schultz Theatre in New Market has announced it needs $880 to be able to produce its upcoming musical "Oliver." The money will cover rights to the show.

An anonymous donor has offered to match any money that the theater can raise, to the limit of $440.

The Laurel Center in Winchester has announced it needs the following items: journals, kitchen towels, dish cloths, dishwashing liquid, hand soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper and gift cards to Food Lion, Martins, Wal-Mart or Target.

Because of space limitations, The Laurel Center does not accept travel-sized items, clothing or books, unless there is a specific need listed. Donation drop-offs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Contact: 667-6160.
