The Strasburg High School FFA chapter placed first in the Virginia FFA Senior Parliamentary Procedure CDE. Students will be recognized at the 87th Virginia State FFA Convention. The team members were Bethany Gochenour, Rachel Taylor, Austin Weaver, Kristen Cambell, Josh Stickles, and Kathryn Flynn, coached by Kate Hawkins.

High individuals received pins at the contest and the state winning team will receive a plaque at the Virginia FFA State Convention. The state winning team also will represent Virginia by competing at the National FFA Convention in Louisville, Ky.

The Signal Knob Middle FFA chapter competed in the Virginia State FFA Association State Parliamentary Procedure Career Development Event Contest last Saturday at Lord Botetourt High School. The team placed second in the state.

The Virginia FFA Parliamentary Procedure event tests students' ability to effectively communicate ideas during a meeting.
