Saturday morning, 21 students from Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal spent four hours at John Handley High School in Winchester bagging food for the needy.

As members of the Middle School Interactors, the teens and tweens helped with the global organization Stop Hunger Now.

The student club gives annually to the global effort and has, over the last three years, raised over $2,500 with its yearly "Penny Wars." So far this year, the club has totaled over 600 hours of collective "service above self" hours through activities like Roadside Clean Up, Operation Blue Christmas and Volunteer Farms Gleaning.

The club was chartered in 2011 and is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Linden.
