The Laurel Center to display teal ribbons of awareness


The Laurel Center of Winchester has announced it will display teal ribbons in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month throughout April.

According to The Laurel Center, one out of five women will be a victim of sexual violence in her lifetime. In partnership with Highland Memorial Presbyterian Church, at 446 Highland Ave., Winchester, The Laurel Center will display 5,376 ribbons along the church fence, one ribbon for every five of Winchester's 26,881 residents.
