The Grounds Maintenance Department at Shenandoah Valley Westminster Canterbury in Winchester announced recently that seven students from Shenandoah University volunteered to help with clean-up projects. Maggie Duong, Linna Ly, Huda Karimi, Heather Heskett, William Callaway, Cory Brantner and Christian Malone said that they were given a list of options and chose SVWC because they enjoy being outdoors.

The students took part in "Partnership with Community Day," coordinated by the Center for Public Service and Scholarship at Shenandoah University. The effort presented an opportunity for students to contribute to their community by donating their time and energy. After working, the group enjoyed a leisurely lunch in the Bistro where they discussed their shared experience.
