Massanutten Military Academy graduate completes Marine Corps boot camp

PFC Emma R. LeMieux, 22, of Bristow graduated from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island on May 10.

LeMieux is the daughter of Michael and Nancy LeMieux of Bristow. She is a graduate of Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock.

LeMieux successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD Parris Island as a member of November Company, Training Platoon 4014. In the Basic Combat Marksmanship Course which is designed to simulate quick-reaction and close-range shooting, PFC Lemieux achieved a perfect score while shooting an M16 A2 service rifle, earning the Rifle Sharpshooter badge. Following 10 days on leave she will report to Camp Geiger, a satellite facility of Marine Corps Base Camp LeJeune, N.C. for one month of Military Combat Training. PFC LeMieux will then report to Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida, for Military Occupation Specialty School in Aircraft Maintenance.
