June 30 to July 2, Route 11 Potato Chips, of Mt. Jackson, will represent Virginia again at The Summer Fancy Food Show, which returns to Jacob Javits Center in New York City. Last year's event was held in Washington, D.C., while the Javits Center was being renovated.
Route 11's Lightly Salted Chips product has been nominated for a prize in the snack food category.
The East Coast's Fancy Food Show and its West Coast sister event togteher bring in more than 40,000 attendees from 80-plus countries to see 260,000 innovative specialty food products each year for the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade.
Twenty-six Virginia firms will be located in the 4900 aisle in Hall A, Level 1. Additional Virginia companies will be located throughout the show floor. Staff from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will help buyers connect with all superior Virginia specialty food and beverage products.
Virginia foods at the show include confections, snacks, spices, ethnic foods, hot sauces, peanuts, ham, potato chips, oils, natural and organic products, fruitcakes, sparkling ciders, pasta, pudding, cakes and cookies, gluten free products and frozen hors d'oeuvres/appetizers.
