Shenandoah Parks and Rec announces track and field winners

Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation has announced the winners from Shenandoah County who competed in the local Hershey's Track and Field Youth Program at the Central High School campus track field on May 11.

Out of 53 students who competed, the top two winners in each category will advance to the Western Service Area Regional Hershey Track and Field Meet at Central on June 15.

Brevin Scott and Ciana Crawford won first place in the 50 meter dash for ages 9 to 10. Brayden Hovatter and Ella Toothman won second place, and Quaseem Garland won third.

In the 100 meter dash, Aliyah Kibler and Brevin won first place, Parker Sheetz and Ella won second place, and Alic Whittington and Emma Click won third.

In the 200 meter dash, Brayden Hovatter and Faith Curry won first place, Parker Sheetz and Emma won second, and Jarek Akins and Bailey Spiggle won third.

No boys competed in the 400 meter dash. Erika Hutton won first place for girls, Faith won second and Aliyah won third.

In the standing long jump, Quaseem and Ciana won first place. James Fraley and Bailey won second.

Brayden and Ella won first place in the softball throw; Parker and Erika won second, and Brevin and Faith won third.

For ages 11 and 12, Fortis Brake and Sierra Crigger won first in the 100 meter dash. Landon Shockey won second for boys, with Samantha Foshey and Hannah Dellinger tying second for girls. Jacob Miller and Chloee Burton won third place.

In the 200 meter dash, Fortis and Sierra won first place, Jacob and Samantha won second, and Chase Helsley and Maya Frye-Williams won third.

In the 400 meter dash, Chase Rimel and Chloee won first place, and Landon Shockey won second, with no girls coming in second.

In the 800 meter day, Chase Rimel and Hannah won first place, and Shawn Purdy won second, with no girls coming in second.

No girls competed in the 4x100 Meter relay. Justus Proctor and Justin Dove tied for first place. Tyler Dellinger came in second, and Matthew Avvenire third.

In the standing long jump, Landon and Maya came in first place, Matthew and Sierra second, and Annabelle Funkhouser and Justus came in third.

Maria Marston and Tyler came in first in the softball throw. Logan Yew and Samantha came in second, and Justus and Chloee came in third.

For ages 13 and 14, Brandon Trump and Susannah Garber came in first place in the 100 meter dash. Isaac Burner and Annabelle Palmer came in second, and Jacob Rodriguez came in third. No girls came in third.

In the 200 meter dash, Coy Jimenez and Brooke Ryman came in first place. Carston Shockey and Mercedes Roberts came in second. Brandon Trump came in third. No girls came in third.

Sawyer Lucy-Speidel and Grace Dellinger came in first place in the 800 meter dash and the 1,600 meter dash.

No girls competed in the 4x100 meter relay. For the boys, Saxon Franklin came in first, Tristan Gum and Coy Jimenez tied for second, and Carston Shockey came in third.

In the standing long jump, Carston and Brooke came in first place, Mason Marston and Annabelle came in second, and Isaac Burner came in third place. No girls came in third.

In the softball throw, Mason and Susannah came in first place, Brandon and Brooke came in second, and Jacob and Mercedes came in third.
