Local Beta Sigma Phi chapter recalls productive season
Eta Chi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi in Woodstock has announced that it has held several events recently.
On Feb. 16 a dinner was held at Sal's in Edinburg, and Lin Manuel was the chosen Valentine Queen. Other activities included a visit to the Winchester Museum, a spa afternoon followed by a Mexican dinner, and a Founder's Day potluck dinner at the home of Pat Turley, Bryce Resort.
Fundraisers, which included a silent auction and a 15 family yard sale, allowed the chapter to donate to the free clinic, Small Hands and the family of 8 year old Natalie Harrell, grandchild of member Pam Porter of Mt. Jackson, who is battling brain cancer.
Officers elected for next year are Helen Partlow, president; Debbie Swecker, vice-president; Lin Manuel, treasurer; Liz Chance, recording secretary and Tish Richman, corresponding secretary.
