Warren County teachers honored by Rotary Club

At the May 31 meeting of the Front Royal Rotary Club, eight Warren County teachers were awarded "The Rotarian Award for Excellence in Educating Youth." The awards were presented by Doug Rosen, chairman of the club's Career Information & Educational Excellence Committee and Pam McInnis, superintendent of the Warren County School System. Criteria for selection of the teachers included setting high expectations for student achievement and supporting students in positive and esteem building ways. The teachers who received the awards are as follows:

Virginia McKinnon of E. Wilson Morrison Elementary School, Lynn Stanley of Leslie Fox Keyser Elementary School, Jill Harold of Hilda J. Barbour Elementary School, Janice Pfeiffer of A. S. Rhodes Elementary School, Joan Kulp Ressie of Jeffries Elementary School, Maria Wakefield of Warren County Middle School, Mary Kay Moose of Warren County High School and Kitty Dean of Skyline High School.

Current Rotary President Daniel Pond, III congratulated the teachers and thanked them for their hard work and dedication to the Warren County School System.
