CCAP has announced on July 27 and 28 it will take on the mission of providing school supplies for students that don't have the resources to purchase their own school supplies that attend schools in the Frederick County and City of Winchester.
The organization expects 700 to 900 students or the family members of the students to line up at CCAP on Kent Street to receive collected back to school items.
CCAP needs supplies to cover all the students.
CCAP needs the following items -- nice backpacks, crayons, colored pencils, spiral notebooks, dividers, composition books, highlighters and all other school supplies a child is requested to bring. Gift cards to stores that carry school supplies also are appreciated.
Drop off supplies between now and July 24 to Rugs Direct on Featherbed Lane in Winchester, across from the SPCA near the Apple Blossom Mall. The Rugs Direct showroom is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
CCAP and the recipients of the supplies are appreciative of any and all donations.
