Shenandoah County 4-H/FFA dairy show awards announced

The Virginia Cooperative Extension has announced the results of the 4-H and Future Farmers of America dairy show on Aug. 29 at the Shenandoah County Fair.

In the category of dairy showmanship, the junior champion was James Eaton and the junior reserve champion was Sarah Eaton. The novice champion was Josh Glick and the senior champion was Elizabeth Rhodes. Rhodes also was the grand champion dairy showman.

In the dairy show, Elizabeth Rhodes had the junior and reserve junior champion red and white Holstein, the senior and reserve senior and the grand champion and reserve grand champion red and white Holstein.

James Eaton had the junior champion Holstein, and Elizabeth Rhodes had the reserve junior champion, the senior champion and the reserve senior champion Holstein.

She had the grand champion Holstein and James Eaton had the reserve grand champion Holstein.

Sarah Eaton had the junior and senior champion Jersey and the grand champion and reserve grand champion Jersey.

Elizabeth Rhodes had the supreme champion cow and will be selling the gallon of milk.
