Top Shenandoah teachers recognized

At the recent Shenandoah County Public Schools convocation, teachers of the year from each school were recognized. As part of the recognition, Willy Pirtle, president of the Shenandoah Education Foundation, presented a check for $2,500 to Tara Mason, teacher of the year for Shenandoah County Public Schools.

Pirtle announced that the Shenandoah Education Foundation has pledged $4,000 to funding the new Instructional Challenge and Innovation Project which is being developed by Shenandoah County Public Schools. Pirtle also said that Shentel will match the $4,000 for a total of $8,000 for the project.
