Alpha Omicron member presents program on flowers

Anne Dellinger of Mt. Jackson, a member of the Alpha Omicron chapter of Virginia Alpha Delta Kappa sorority for outstanding women educators, presented a program recently to her sorority sisters on how to have a green thumb at the group's annual breakfast meeting.

Dellinger brought examples of various flowers she grew; she also sells flowers at local farmer's markets. As a special closing to her presentation, Dellinger gave each member a packet of heirloom seeds to plant next year.

Dellinger is a member of the Shenandoah County Retired Teachers Association and provided flowers for the SCRTA annual breakfast meeting on the first day of school.

The Alpha Omicron Chapter also collected food for Luke's Backpack at the breakfast.
