Chelsea Academy announced that on Sept, 20, it held its sixth annual hike up Old Rag mountain, one of Virginia's most difficult hikes.

It took the entire school several hours to reach the top of the mountain, eat lunch while enjoying the fall vista, and return. After the hike, students and teachers relocated to the home of the Lee family, longtime members of the Chelsea community, where the annual house competitions among Chelsea's four houses were held. The competitions included running and swimming relays, a water balloon toss and a tug-of-war. The day concluded with a picnic and bonfire for students and their families, ending an exciting day on a peaceful note.

Chelsea Academy is an independent school in the Catholic tradition located in Front Royal. Now in its sixth year, Chelsea has over 120 students from Warren, Rappahannock, Frederick, Fauquier and Prince William counties and also plays host to several international students from China, Germany, and France.
