Jorge and Lori Gutierrez of Woodstock are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Megan, to Samuel Rowles, son of Sherman "Rick" and Melissa Rowles of Woodstock.
The wedding took place on Sept 21, 2013 at the Woodstock Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ), 109th S. Muhlenberg St., Woodstock. It was a double ring ceremony, which included the Unity Candle ceremony, presided by Pastor Bill Erbach and assisted by Monica Casteel as the pianist.
The reception took place immediately after the wedding at the Hampton Inn Woodstock, and was catered by Shaffer's.
The family extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Woodstock Christian Church, Erbach and Casteel for their part in the wedding. Special mention and thanks also to the bride's grandmother, Juanita "Nita" Blankenship from Hershey, Pa.
The maid of honor was Ashley Bodge, and brides maids were Telsa Feltner, Mary Stephens and Leeanna Baker. The best man was Jon Stephens, and groomsmen were Conley Shallcross, Troy Schmansky, Brian Jones and Jacob Gutierrez.
The flower girls were Lilly Rowles and Emma Stephens.
Photography was provided by Andrew Francis from Hershey and Daisy Gutierrez from Land O Lakes, Fla. Limousine service and pastoral support after the wedding was provided by the Rev. Alfredo Gutierrez, from the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Land O Lakes. Entertainment was provided by Michael Yeakle of Prime Time Entertainment in Strasburg. The wedding cake was a beautiful cupcake arrangement provided by Susan Kirk of Creative Cakes.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a long white wedding gown and carried a bouquet of white lilies designed by her mother. The church and reception areas were carefully decorated under the direction and participation of the bride's mother and Lisa Koplin of Iowa City.
The newly married couple resides in Woodstock.
