The FRSA ROX U-11 boys won their first Old Dominion Soccer League championship with a 7-1 record, scoring a team season record 48 goals and only allowing 11. The team won its final game 6-0 to clinch the division championship. The U-11 team also recorded its 40th win.
Leading the team in goals were Griffin Landis and Hunter Peacock. Justin Doughty led the way with assists and Michael Townsend was tops in takeaways. Lukas Leon-Nolan and Bryce Peacock led the team in goalie saves and quality punts. Noah Williams, Alex O'Neill Payne, Patrick Berry led the team with the fewest lost possessions. Ronan O'Reilly and Griffin led the team with the most quality passes; Michael and Justin led the team with the most headers.
For a press release, Coach Jeff Doughty said the key to the team's success was its hard work, the addition of supplemental skills training through Shenandoah Soccer Academy, and intensive goalie training. He thanked assistant coach Ryan Doughty for keeping great stats during the year, all the assistant coaches for their hard work and dedication and chief Technical Director Dave Brown.
The team expected to participate in the Hunt Country Classic Soccer Tournament at the end of November.
