The Frederick County Educational Foundation has announced a new logo representative of the mission and goals of the Foundation: "Funding innovative educational experiences that foster student achievement."

Last fall, the foundation challenged all Frederick County Schools students to create a new logo, and 48 submissions were received from elementary, middle and high schools.

The top winners, all from Millbrook High School, were selected by the FCEF board of directors: First place winner Marlana Shuman, second place winners Caitlin Schrader and Lauren Haan, and third place winner Michael Dimaggio.

The logo will be used on the foundation's website, Facebook, and all correspondence and brochures.
