Straight No Chaser to open Orkney Springs festival

The Shenandoah Valley Music Festival has announced that a cappella band Straight No Chaser will open the 51st season on July 18 in Orkney Springs.

Also this summer, Rhonda Vincent and her band the Rage will headline the annual Hot Strings and Cool Breezes bluegrass mini-festival in Orkney Springs on Aug. 2, an emailed release from the festival said.

Online sales for both concerts will start at noon on April 3. Box office sales will start in May. Online buyers get the earliest and best choice of seats, a lower ticket price without additional fees and this year, for the first time, concert goers will be able to print their own tickets at home.

Artists performing at this summer's festival will be announced as they are signed, the release said.
