Va. Tech announces area fall graduates

The following area students were among those honored at the Virginia Tech's fall commencement ceremony held Dec. 20, 2013, in Cassell Coliseum:

Karen Davis of Strasburg, who graduated from the College of Science with a bachelor of science degree in psychology.

Caleb Price of Woodstock, who graduated from the College of Natural Resources and Environment with a bachelor of science degree in fisheries science.

Sheree Shirley of Clear Brook, who graduated from the College of Science with a bachelor of science degree in psychology.

Crystal Printz of Cross Junction, who graduated from the College of Science with a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences.

Lindsey Bauserman of Stephens City, who graduated from the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences with a bachelor of science degree in human development.

Spencer Shanholtz of Stephens City, who graduated from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with a bachelor of science degree, summa cum laude, in environmental science.

Spencer Shanholtz of Stephens City, who graduated from he College of Natural Resources and Environment with a bachelor of arts degree, summa cum laude, in geography.

Approximately 2,500 bachelors and associates degree candidates, along with their families and friends, attended the on-campus ceremony presided by Virginia Tech President Charles W. Steger. The University Commencement Ceremony keynote address was given by Dr. Gerhardt Shurig, professor of biomedical sciences and pathobiology and former dean of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
