The American Conservation Film Festival in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, has announced it hired Jennifer Lee as director of development and communications to expand the support, outreach and exposure of its annual fall festival and special events throughout the year.

She has nearly 20 years experience in non-profits dedicated to environmental and historic preservation. Most recently, she served as executive director of the Blue Ridge Wildlife Center in Millwood and executive director of the Clarke County Historical Association. Before that, she served in development, administrative and communications roles for the Virginia Native Plant Society, the Northwest Earth Institute in Portland, Oregon, and at the national headquarters of Trout Unlimited in Arlington.

This year's festival will be Oct. 30 to Nov. 2 at venues in and around Shepherdstown.
