Colonel and Mrs. Gerald Patrick Coleman of Madison, Mississippi, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Marie Coleman, to Patrick Braden Miller of Starkville, Mississippi, son of Deacon and Mrs. Gregory Eugene Miller, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Anna Fake Robinson, of Concord, North Carolina, and the late Colonel James Miller Robinson, both formerly of Strasburg, and Mr. and Mrs. James Ralph Coleman, of Oxford, Mississippi. She is the great-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Warren Robinson, former owners of the Hotel Strasburg, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry LeRoy Fake, former owners of Quick Music Company in Strasburg.

Coleman is a 2010 graduate of Madison Central High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mississippi State University in May with a bachelor of science in educational psychology and a concentration in speech-language pathology. At MSU, she served as the chaplain, new member event coordinator and philanthropy assistant for Phi Mu Sorority, was an MSU orientation leader and was an MSU senator. She will attend graduate school in the fall at the Mississippi University for Women to pursue a master of science in speech-language pathology.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Acquin Dowd of Indianapolis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eugene Miller, of Ocean Springs.

He is a 2008 graduate of Saint Patrick's Catholic High School in Biloxi and graduated from Mississippi State University in 2012 with a bachelor of arts and sciences in secondary education. He served as activities chairman, recruitment chairman and vice president for Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and was involved in the Catholic Student Association.

He is employed as an Extension Associate for the MSU Extension Center for Government and Community Development and is currently pursuing a master of public policy.

The couple plan to exchange vows on the evening of July 26 at Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. A reception will follow at the Biloxi Civic Center Ballroom.
