Shenandoah County Library staff receive awards

Hank Zimmerman, board chairman for Shenandoah County Library, has been recognized as "Outstanding Library Trustee" for libraries serving a population of 24,000 to 49,999 by the Virginia Public Library Director's Association. The association also recognized the library's outreach to residents of Dutch Haven, led by Adult Services Librarian David Robinson, as "Outstanding Program for Seniors." comments

Front Royal fifth grader chosen for AAA Safety-Patrol of the Year award

He is a fifth grader at Leslie Fox Keyser Elementary School in Front Royal and was nominated by the Assistant Principal Jerry Rosprich.
