Winners in the news
CHEERS: Congratulations to Woodstock resident John Billings, who was named Virginia Pilot of the Year by Angel Mid-Atlantic. Billings has flown more than 150 patients to where they needed to go for treatment. CHEERS: Shenandoah County Public Schools earned a statewide award for its efforts to feed healthy meals to students. Kudos to food service supervisor Beverly Polk, who also recently received a lifetime achievement award from the Virginia School Nutrition Association. CHEERS: Family, Career and Community Leaders of America students at Warren County Middle School won three state awards and one national award for service projects. Wonderful news! CHEERS: And finally ... we're rooting for Bodemeister in this Saturday's Preakness. The Clarke County-bred colt placed second in the Kentucky Derby. Go Bode!
