All residents in Strasburg who have RVs, campers/travel trailers: there will be a work session at 7 p.m. Aug. 6 at Strasburg Town Hall to discuss the removal of these types of RVs from town. It will be in the best interest of residents who own them to go to the work session. Woodstock, Stephens City already have removed theirs from their towns.
There has not been any discussion on utility trailers sitting around town or the trailer park at the edge of town. There's a lot more in this town that needs attention - golf carts, motorcycles, old cars and unkept homes. There must not be enough tax money coming from these RVs. Maybe it's the bump-outs. Campers may not be able to get by them.
What Woodstock does trickles down to Strasburg. We have recycling. Sounding of the firetrucks, siren at the fire department have to go. The bump-outs and now RVs. What's next? The people who govern us stay up all night thinking, "What can we do to the town's people?" Destroy people's property and not fix it?
Why did we need an assistant town manager when we never had one before, then he up and quits and now things are being done by other personnel. Why wasn't this done before? Did we pay for someone to do a job that wasn't needed?
The town is looking into ordinances that will affect these RVs. They should be looking into other ordinances that need enforcing. As soon as I can, I am out of this town. I am fed up. We voted them in. Vote them out. If you don't own an RV, tell someone who does. 7 p.m. Aug. 6 work session at Town Hall.
