Letter to the Editor: Services for hearing impaired needed at government meetings
|

Editor:
What a frustrating evening for me on Oct. 10.
I attended a public hearing held on my behalf at the Warren County Government Center building. I am severely hearing impaired and wear hearing aids, which help with sound but not with the distortion of people's voices.
I heard nothing but a buzz of voices at this meeting. It would seem to me that with all the money spent by the county on new buildings and remodeling older buildings that there would be money spent on providing services for the hearing (in my case) or any other kind of impairment, so that we could be able to attend these meetings and participate.
