Letter to the Editor: Price gouging at the gas pump?

I would like to know why gas was $3.03 in Harrisionburg, $3.11 in Front Royal, and $3.17 in Mount Jackson last week while Woodstock to Strasburg is $3.25-3.29. What gives?

I'm sure there will be a million political answers, but I managed a gas station before, and understand how long it takes to turn over a tank of gas. If the wholesale price changes, it's paid for in a day or two, or your station won't be open long!

I smell minor league price gouging! This didn't just start now. This has been going on for a long time! We as consumers need to stick together and demand answers. These owners need to realize our business is built on trust and not their location!

Bryan Bowman, Maurertown
