Cheers & Jeers: Cheers to letter writer, Jeers about disinformation

A Shenandoah Country resident sends Cheers to Helen Jean Smith for her Dec. 28 letter, "Time to stop the nonsense," and Jeers to the media sources and individuals circulating the disinformation, "FBI counts the No. 1 weapon used in violent crime is a baseball bat." The FBI website under "Crime in the U.S. 2010" proves that a blatantly false statement.
