Letter to the Editor: Losing common sense

I am enjoying the new format of your newspaper. It is good to see some conservative views and well as liberals. Glad to see Froma Harrop's articles, also Bill O'Reilly's.

I certainly agree with Linda Chavez's view of the little fellow being suspended for making believe his fingers are a gun. I was a kindergarten aide for about 13 years. If a child did that, we would have just told him that we don't play guns in school. Sometimes we did this quite a few times a day, but never even thought about sending a child to the principal's office. I think we have lost our common sense along the way.
