I don't know about you, but I've had enough of this cold weather. I want spring to be here sooner rather than later, regardless of what a groundhog predicts today.
So, looking forward to sunnier skies, warmer days and flowers in bloom, we're going to help you prepare for that season through our Home and Garden section, which will appear in the Northern Virginia Daily every other Wednesday, beginning this Wednesday. A Food section brimming with good eats and recipes will appear on alternate Wednesdays.
We've been having fun with our Motoring section, and we hope you are enjoying reading and dreaming about new cars as well. We plan to make that a weekly section, and you'll find it every Thursday.
Entertainment will continue to appear on Fridays, and our Business section has been moved to Saturdays.
More than six months ago I in this column I asked if any of our readers would like to be a guest columnist for a six-month span. Response was fantastic, and we selected several columns to run in the Daily.
I'd like to re-issue the offer, but now we are looking for columns on specific topics: gardening, decorating, antiques, food, wine, cooking, local history, and outdoor recreation.
