What's happening now? Syndicated columns now online
By Linda Ash
If you are a regular visitor to the Opinion section a nvdaily.com/opinion, you may have noticed a few changes on that Web page. There you will find our submission policy, reader letters, commentary and editorials. The newest addition is syndicated columnists.
I have access to a number of columnists - liberal and conservative - for use in print and now online. I'll keep them online for 30 days, the same as our local news archives, so if you miss one in the print edition, you can find it in our online Opinion section.
Another benefit to posting them online: you now can post your comments about what the columnist wrote on the online column.
My work email program seems to be protesting the vast number of emails that I haven't had time to delete from it. I've been forced to use webmail and my email program on my iPad to keep up with the three email boxes that I have to monitor each day.
This is a good time to remind you that the very best way of submitting letters to the editor, news, photos and press releases to the Daily is through our Virtual Newsroom at nvdaily.com/virtual. Information uploaded via this page won't get lost, and we process content we receive from the Web much faster than hand-written letters (which have to be retyped) or those that come in via email.
