Our attorney general is batting a thousand in his signature court cases and appeals that he has brought to bear on behalf of the commonwealth of Virginia. He has lost every one of them.
The latest appeal he lost unanimously. Not one, I repeat, not one of the justices on the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals voted to hear his appeal. Kind of makes one wonder just how good of a lawyer our attorney general really is. I hope he is just as successful in his bid for governor, too.
Also, I wonder just how many of our tax dollars our attorney general has spent tilting at these windmills of his own making. And how much is he spending now by hiring private attorneys to defend the commonwealth that he swore to defend when he took the oath of office, because he now stands in conflict with that oath. Seems things are a bit unseemly in our attorney general's office these days.
